11 Thoughts to “Sixth Straight Day Below -70C; Rare Spring Snow On Madeira; Spring Blizzard Slams Northeast, Midwest, West, And Canada Also Hit; + Big Sunspot”
I wrote to the ESA and they recognised that there is a mistake – they say they are shifting from an old model to a new one. The 31 March 2025 graph has been deleted as they recognise there is something wrong. Very (in)convenient for this late snow quantity to be buried in a data glitch…
Snow in the mountains here NW US in early Spring is just normal weather.
The amount of snow we just got here in the mountains is normal, We expect there will be snow here in the mountains in early Spring, it’s not rare or from GSM. The amount of snow we’ve had this year is only half the amount of a heavy snow year. It’s not a big snow year here this year, nothing like the good old days. It more proves it’s not a cold GSM situation. https://www.mtbaker.us/the-mountain/snowfall-statistics/
Friday and Saturday here now at my house forecast 68F, 11 degrees above average. Warm, sunny extra nice weather, I just mowed my lawn again yesterday but I just mowed last weekend I have to mow twice a week or it gets out of control. Not out shoveling snow, the opposite. Boots on the ground report 50 miles South of Canada. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/eldon/98555/weather-today/2157602
Six dead from US storms in the mid West. Tornados, heat rising up from the warmer than ave Gulf of Mexico. There’s some flurries in the cold front of the deadly outbreak of lightning storms going on from Texas to W Virginia. Tornados. Giant swaths of total destruction. IT”S 108 F degrees in Mexico just S of Texas. Way too hot for me.
2am here 4/4/’25 looking at the US radar the only place it’s snowing now is N & S Dakota and a tad in Wyoming which is just normal weather there. A flurry. It’s all gonna melt next week then the forecast is warmer than ave the rest of the month. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/fargo/58102/april-weather/329833

La Nina update for March went back up to La Nada. It made it to barely weak La Nina for three months. Kinda like 2016 or 2006.
